Romanian Speaking Church Plant
Since the beginning of this year, one of the focuses of KBC was building a team that would plant a Romanian speaking fellowship. The team consists of Moldova Bible Seminary students and KBC members continues to grow. Marcel D. who leads this team created a “Ten Families, Ten Weeks” Outreach. We asked the principal of the local Romanian speaking public school to introduce us to ten families that have children in the school who are in need and/or from multi-kids families.
For ten weeks we will deliver food bags to these families and every two weeks will gather both children and their parents for an event where we will create opportunities to mingle and share the good news creatively. This strategy has proven to be very effective as there is now a huge openness. The plan is to plug the kids into Sunday school and parents into a discipleship group setting. Please be in prayer for these families to open their hearts to the Lord and for the Romanian fellowship to have an ongoing impact on their lives.
Easter Touch from Hands of Christ
In spite of the obstacles Kishinev Bible Church faced these last two weeks the ministry continues to go on. It is the time of celebration of our Lord's resurrection. KBC Youth Ministry partnered with the Elderly Ministry to reach out with the Good News to those in need of Lord healing touch.
One week before the volunteer teens worked hard to make hand-made Easter Greeting cards for the elderly. They wanted to share the love and care that only a family can express with hopes of bringing joy into the lives of those widows.
Together with elderly ministry and KBC volunteers we prepared eighty food bags to be delivered before Easter Sunday. Since the youth did not have a place to worship as the school has told KBC that all services will be canceled and we will not be able to us the hall, the youth took to the streets and visited a large number of the homes delivering food care packages and Easter cards with the story of hope.
We are grateful to all our partners, KBC volunteers, MBS students, KBC leadership team who made it possible for us to be the hands of Jesus Christ delivering assistance and showing His love to those in need.
Gift of Hope 2015
A team from Kishinev Bible Church prepared a program for children from villages in the south-west of Moldova. Ninety children and some parents who came were presented with a play "The Tale of Three Trees" that tells of dreams of greatness of three trees. These trees became (1) the manger where Jesus was born, (2) the boat that Jesus rode and calmed the sea from, and (3) the cross where Jesus was crucified. The Gospel was presented and children received gifts collected and packed by KBC (Kishinev Bible Church) fellowship. Fifty-five more gifts were passed to the pastor of the local church who serves in several villages. He delivered the gifts to the families with disabled children in the villages.
