PROJECT 127 stands for James 1:27, “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” It is the ministry reaching out to social orphans, kids under 18 who have no adults looking after them, even though one or more parents are still alive. Usually the parents either work overseas, are alcoholics, drug abusers, or simply are not interested in the child.
PROJECT 127 is after-school program where kids come and are helped by various volunteers with their homework, attend art school classes, ESL classes, various sports activities, and bible studies. We try to help their entire family with emotionally and, where possible, physically. Our driving passion is for every child like that to know God’s love.
PROJECT 127 is a great evangelistic tool in reaching social orphans for Christ, disciple them in a local church, help them find the right direction for their lives, and send them out into this world as witnesses of God’s grace!
